The Battle Lines Are Drawn For High-Definition DVD Formats
In The News - High Definition DVDs
Do you remember the VHS-Betamax format wars? Groups headed by Toshiba and Sony are touting their respective technologies (HD-DVD & Blu-Ray)
to be adopted in the multi-billion dollar competition to become the next standard for DVD players, PC drives and gaming devices. The media recently reported that
the two groups have given up efforts to develop a unified format. This means the free market will decide the new High Definition optical disc format. While
this issue will first be critical to the movie studios, eventually the corporate world we service will want to shoot and distribute in High
Definition. When that time comes, Action Duplication will be ready to provide you with High Definition DVD replication.

Action Accolades
Recently, we received some customer feedback that indicated our customers like to hear how other Action Duplication customers are using our
services. So this section is dedicated to sharing stories from our customers to help others learn from their
successes.
This month, a Production and Multimedia Company produced a program for a Medicare provider explaining the notification and appeals process under BIPA (Benefits Improvement & Protection Act). We were contacted to produce 2000 VHS tapes and 2000 DVD’s. The VHS tapes required custom printed face and spine labels and the DVD’s were printed in full color with 4-Color Printed inserts and assembled into SlimLine Jewel cases. The required turnaround time was 6 working days because the tapes and discs were needed for a critical end of month mailing. We delivered the completed project in plenty of time and our client was very impressed with the quality of duplication and printing.
