MEDICAL DEVICES: Case Study

A prospective client in the medical devices industry challenged Action Duplication to create a more efficient distribution method for its training videos.

The client had previously used VHS tapes of three different training programs for each of its three product categories - 9 tapes in all- and was looking to streamline its support materials while shifting programming to the more desirable DVD format.

Action Duplication inexpensively encoded each training video to DVD, and grouped the programs by product category, adding a menu screen for user interface. We authored three separate training DVDs, each containing three programs pertaining to that particular product line.

The project created real advantages for both our client and the end-user. Customers who purchased a product were presented with a high quality DVD training tool that provided easy access to information on all products within the category. By converting their programs to DVD, the client saved money and space by reducing the SKU's and storage requirements, as well as shipping costs. At the same time, the inclusion of a professionally-packaged training tool on optical disc enhanced the perceived value of their products.
