How to Submit Artwork
Requirements For Electronic Design and Layout Materials
For labels, inserts, other paper items, and on-disc CD printing:
- Preferred layout formats (in order of preference):
- Quark XPress™ 4.0 or later for Mac
- Adobe® Illustrator® 8.0 or later for Mac or Windows
- Quark XPress 4.04 or later for Windows
- Adobe® InDesign
For film output or any type of commercial printing:
- Any version of Quark, Windows or Mac
- Any version of Illustrator, Windows or Mac
- Preferred Graphics Files: EPS, TIF
- Acceptable but not preferred: PICT (Mac)
- NOT Acceptable: JPG, GIF, PNG
- All electronic files should be accompanied by a composite output for reference.
- Please be sure to provide all linked graphics and necessary fonts for output.
- All graphics should maintain sharp resolution and be of sufficient resolution for the output device. (Never less than 300 dpi)
- Files may be provided on ZIP, CD, via e-mail, or FTP.
- Files sent via e-mail or FTP should be compressed/archived.
- Windows files should be zipped (ZIP) using a tool such as WinZip or PKZip.
- Mac files should be stuffed (SIT) with Stuffit.
