Requirements For Electronic Design and Layout Materials

For labels, inserts, other paper items, and on-disc CD printing:
Preferred layout formats (in order of preference):
Quark XPress™ 4.0 or later for Mac
Adobe® Illustrator® 8.0 or later for Mac or Windows
Quark XPress 4.04 or later for Windows

For film output or any type of commercial printing:
Any version of Quark, Windows or Mac
Any version of Illustrator, Windows or Mac

Preferred Graphics Files: EPS, TIF
Acceptable but not preferred: PICT (Mac)
NOT Acceptable: JPG, GIF, PNG

All electronic files should be accompanied by a composite output for reference.

Please be sure to provide all linked graphics and necessary fonts for output.

All graphics should maintain sharp resolution and be of sufficient resolution for the output device. (Never less than 300 dpi)

Files may be provided on ZIP, CD, via e-mail, or FTP.

Files sent via e-mail or FTP should be compressed/archived.
Windows files should be zipped (ZIP) using a tool such as WinZip or PKZip.
Mac files should be stuffed (SIT) with Stuffit.
